Introduction

I got this recipe from "Pumpkinnook.com" and made little changes. You can view the original recipe there as well as instructions on how to make fresh pumpkin puree.
This is a thick, hearty chili and a great Fall/Winter dish. You can personalize it by adding other vegetables, adjusting the amount of chili powder, and adding red chili flakes.

2. Add all the ingredients together in a large slow cooker (6-7 quart) and mix together.

3. Cook on low for 6 hours

This recipe makes about 11 1 cup servings.

You can serve with crackers or a hearty bread. I'm in Hawaii, and we eat rice with everything, so I like this over 1/2 cup of brown rice.
