Chili for cool day. Chili for cool day.

    2 cups dry Navy beans, 38oz diced tomatoes, 28 oz tomato sauce, 8oz - 93% lean ground turkey, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, & black pepper, Water.


Take 1/2 pound dry navy beans, soak overnight in pot of cold water. Next day, rinse beans and add enough water to cover beans an inch or two. Cook beans for an hour and half. In meantime, brown 1/2 pound of ground turkey, add onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, cayenne pepper (all seasonings to your liking but I do approx. 1-2 TBSP of chili powder, 1 - 2 tsp of cumin, and 1 TBSP cayenne pepper because I like it hot.) Add tomatoes, sauce, and turkey to beans. Simmer for hours until sauce thickens and beans soften. Add enough water to make 12 cups of chili total. Add ff cheddar cheese or sour cream to top if desired. Delicious and can eat several servings without using up a lot of calories. Very filling and nutritious! Enjoy
