Introduction

Ingredients

    1 Cup fresh mushrooms (about a quarter pound)
    2 Tablespoons chopped onion
    2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
    2 Tablespoons flour
    2 Cups chicken or beef broth
    1/3 Cup 1% milk
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions

Slice mushrooms through caps and stems. In saucepan, cook mushrooms with onion in margarine for 5 minutes. Blend in flour; add broth. Cook and stir till slightly thickened. Cool slightly. Stir in milk, pepper, and nutmeg. Heat through. Serve at once. Calories calculated for 6 servings.
