Introduction

This is a delicious, quick and eay taco pie. The original recipe was called "Hamburger Pie" and it was from a Weight Watchers Magazine. I changed it up to make it a bit tastier! Its super awesome! If you have ever had Old El Paso's Taco Bakes, this is a great way to get that flavour with a lot less calories! This is a delicious, quick and eay taco pie. Ingredients

1 lb of ground beef, extra lean
    1 finely chopped onion
    2 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce
    1 minced garlic clove
1 cup of Bisquick mix (I had original on hand, but you could use a low-fat or "heart healthy" version!)
    1/4 cup of skim milk
1 egg, beaten with milk added to make 1/2 cup of egg mixture (you can also use 1/2 of egg substitute, I will be doing this next time to reduce the fat and cals even more!)
1/2 cup of light cheddar cheese
    2 tbsp of parmesan cheese
    About 1 cup of Salsa
    1 tsp of chili powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 375F.

CRUST: Mix you Bisquick and milk together, just until a soft dough forms. Transfer to a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out, put in pie pan and form it into a pie crust.

FILLING: Fry beef, onion, Worcestershire Sauce, chili powder and garlic in a frying pan. Once beef is cooked through add salsa to the mix. Then add 2 tbsp of the Bisquick mix. This will thicken your beef mixture so it will cook nicely in your pie. Remove from heat and let it cool while you prepare the topping.

TOPPING: Beat your egg in a seperate bowl, then add enough skim milk so that you have a 1/2 cup of egg mixtue. Mix in your Parmesan and Cheddar cheese.

Transfer and spread beef mixture evenly onto crust. Next, spread your topping evenly out over that.

Bake for 25-30 minutes at 375F
