Ingredients

1/2 c soy sauce (can use low sodlium)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp grated fresh ginger or 1/8 tsp ground ginger
1 medium clove garlic minced or pressed
2 TBLS mirin
1/2 tsp cornstarch
Directions
Makes 3/4 c or 12 TBLS (I count as 12 servings)
Combine mirin and cornstarch in small bowel stir until smooth, set aside.
Combine soy sauce, sugar, ginger, and garlic in small sauce pan. Stir in mirin and cornstarch mix. Bring sauce to boil over medium high heat, stiring ocassionally until sauce is reduced to 3/4 c and forms syrupy glaze, about 4-5 minutes. Keep warm
