Cottage Cheese Fruit Smoothie

Cottage Cheese Fruit Smoothie

Introduction

A wonderful, refreshing, delicious treat A wonderful, refreshing, delicious treat
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1/2 C orange juice
    1/2 C low fat cottage cheese
    1 frozen banana
    1 C frozen strawberries (any fruit will do)

Directions

Add all ingredients to a blender and puree until smooth. Add more juice or water to get desired consistency. Experiment with different fruits! Raspberries, blueberries, and peaches all work well. The cottage cheese is a great source of protein and makes the smoothie nice and thick. This is my favorite way to refuel after a long workout.

    This was good, but for once I didn't have low sodium cottage cheese in the house, and I found it made the smoothie a little salty and had to add a bunch of milk to make it palatable. Next time I'll use low sodium cottage cheese. - 5/16/11

    This looks like a strawberry ice cream shake and has a really similar texture to it. Tastes really good, and is not very sweet (which I like) - 4/9/11
