Nutrition & Calorie Comments

I used the soft taco shells as well. Less calories.
Sounds good, but I wouldn't put chicken in it or the flavor will not be philly at all. Rye bread makes it really healthy and fewer calories than a hoagie.
Chicken? Really? I am all about reasonable substitutions, but that means they have to at least taste similar! You know, fat-free cream cheese or perhaps a leaner cut of beef. Don't call chicken a "Philly Cheese Steak", even in quotes.
Fantastic. We used lower cal whole wheat tortillas and shaved off about 80 calories but it was still wonderful! This is going in the rotation for sure!
I love this because my husband is on Atkins and he can easily just eat it without the hoagie! I also like to make this as an open-faced sandwich which reduces the carbs and the calories!
It sounds good gotta try it but switching out banana peppers for mushrooms and adding a little oregano, basil and sprinkle of balsamic to make up for missing salt. the suggestions of whole wheat tortillas is a great one too.
Sounds yummy! I will give this a try, but will add seasoning and improvise on bread as I am doing the low carb thing! Thank you!!!!
I would have to find a way to lower the sodium, calories and fat. for flavor I would change the banana peppers to Habanero peppers because I like heat in my food. I would also add Mrs Dash for seasonings.
No seasoning! Food has to be good and delicious or we won't eat them. I added Emeril's seasoning. It was too much bread but it was ok. I realize the whole low sodium buisiness but no sodium is just not worth it to me in my life.
