Way too salty
Great recipe! I made this tonight, adding some fresh grated ginger at the end. Hubby loved it and so did I. Replaced the white sugar with 1 tbsp of brown to cut sweetness. Awesome!
This was very good even though I messed it up. I tried reduced the sugar to half thinking it would save me some calories. DON'T DO IT. I ended up adding the remaining sugar to the pan during heat up instead of it cooking into the sauce. I will definitely make it again as directed.
This is absolutely my fav orange chicken recipe! It taste so much like take out, you seriously won't miss the real stuff. I always use lower sodium soy sauce (brings recipe down to 740mg instead of 1,145mg). I'm also going to try and use 1/3 cup of sugar instead of 1/2. Thanks for a great recipe!
I substituted orange juice with pineapple juice and rice vinegar with lemon juice an cut back on sugar. Turned out great, my boyfriend loved it so much that he took me on a day trip at the countryside just when we finished lunch! :) Thanks!
wow, sodium content is over half your daily allowance, I am skipping this recipe.
OMG! My roommate and I thought this was incredible! I had calculate the calories twice b/c I couldn't believe that I wasn't cheating on my diet! I used whole wheat flour to make it a little healthier. Also, there was WAY too much sauce. Next time I will halve the sauce and I'm sure it will be plenty
Fantastic! i halved the sugar because i wanted it to be more tangy than sweet, also served it over rice. it was wonderful.
