I plugged the recipe into the calculator and it came out to over 2800 calories (as one serving, of course...). If it's divided into 9 servings, it's 312 calories per serving, without the walnuts. - 9/25/07

INCREDIBLE!!!!! So moist & it smelled so good while it was baking we could hardly wait for it to get out of the oven so we ate it while it was still piping hot. No need for any butter at all :) Perfect!!! My girls can't stop eating it. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for the recipe!! - 8/10/11

I've made this several times this season, because people keep requesting I make them a loaf. It's been a huge hit and I have several loaves in the freezer for winter. Yummy! - 9/11/07

It's alright. Smelled fabulous. Didn't quite live up to my expectations, but I played a little loose with the measurements so it is probably my own fault. - 8/10/11

This is the recipe that I use at home. To make it more moist, I add 1/2 can of drained crushed pineapple. It's yummy!!! - 8/9/09

I am going to try it with half splenda and half sugar. Plus I will add fresh nutmeg. The splenda might cut down the calories. There is no way it is only 78 with 2 c. of sugar in it. - 8/8/09
