Yogurt made it too twangy. Cilantro is just YUCK! I'll stick with the LF mayo version that has tomatoes and green chiles ~ - 4/24/08

The idea with the yogurt was to add creaminess without adding salt or processed elements. If you're going to add mayo, you had might as well just buy guacamole at the grocery store.

Cilantro is very much an acquired taste, but it is authentic to this type of cuisine. :)

What about adding some tomatoes and a bit of jalapeno? - 4/24/08

You certainly could! I tried to keep it on the easy and simple, plus jalapenos exclude my small kiddos eating it. ;-) Commercially pickled jalapenos add a lot of salt too. Cumin would be a good choice as well as green onions.

sounds good will be trying this today. I would suggest to drain the yogurt in a coffee filter in a strainer to make yogurt into a cream cheese like texture. I always have one a straining.! - 4/24/08
