Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    .5 cup Whole Wheat Spaghetti
1 tbsp Extra Light Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic Powder or Garlic Salt
    2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese
    3 oz Cooked Shrimp
    .5 cup Steamed broccoli
    .5 cup Diced Tomato

Directions

I am single so this recipe is easy for me to make just for me. No need to cook a whole box of spaghetti. Shrimp can be purchased frozen so you can just thaw what you need.

If shrimp was purchased frozen, make sure it is thawed. Steam the broccoli. Cook the spaghetti, strain and put in large bowl. Drizzle olive oil over top, sprinkle with garlic power or garlic salt and parmesan cheese, then turn spaghetti over and over until it is coated evenly. Add shrimp and broccoli, turn over until shrimp and broccoli pick up some of the coating

If I am eating alone, I just top with tomato and eat from the bowl. If I am cooking for others, I plate first and then top each plate with tomato.

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best! This made a very tasty pasta toss that I will definitely be making often. I buy frozen shrimp on sale and always have some in my freezer. Thanks! - 11/27/07

Loved it! Falling in love with pasta all over again!
I used penne pasta, two tsp of olive oil (in place of 1 tbsp), rosa tomatoes, added an extra .5 broccoli (I love vegetables).

Easy and tasty. I keep a bag of shrimp and a package of broccoli spears in my freezer, so I can toss this together very quickly. - 3/14/07

I think I'm missing something because it seemed that 2 tbsp of Parmesan Cheese was way too much, no? Other then then it was simple and perfect for a quick dinner fix. - 9/26/12

I used Veggie Shapes Wacky Mac noodles instead with only 2 tsp. of parmesean cheese for me. However, 1tsp. garlic was too much for me. Next time, I'll use less garlic powder but the veggie shapes wacky mac made this meal very colorful! and I had a full cup of broccoli. - 1/8/12

This was excellent! I chose to lightly saute the shrimp and garlic in the olive oil with some dried basil and marjarom. Then I tossed it with the pasta and cheese. I also threw the broccoli in with the pasta when it was a little over halfway cooked. Super easy and tasty too! - 8/3/11

This is a seriously easy and awesome dish! I sauteed the shrimp in fresh garlic, then added halved grape tomatoes and broccoli. I used bowtie pasta and regular EVOO, not light, and it was amazing! Thanks for a great recipe. - 7/28/11

This was light and delicious and we loved it. Next time I'll add more garlic powder and perhaps a touch of salt, but otherwise it was great! - 6/17/11

Delicious! I use all of these ingredients regularly but never thought of putting them together this way. I doubled the broccoli and used a cup of tinned tomatoes, two fresh cloves of garlic and saute/steamed the broccoli and shrimp in the oil and tomatoes rather than cooking them separately. YUM! - 6/23/10

Really easy and much like a dish I make already. I use insane amounts of garlic. I use real garlic and mince it and I use about 1-2 cloves/person. Try it if you like garlic! - 1/25/10
