I love this recipe. I started making it when I was home on maternity leave and my 3 year old had to have it everyday for breakfast. I add a little Splenda for myself to sweeten it up a bit. - 1/13/08

I make this ALL the time. I also use frozen fruit as it makes a colder smoothie. I also add a bit of honey and some vanilla for a bit of extra flavor. Do the honey with the milk and yogurt first though, as it would stick to the ice if you do it with that. Very yummy indeed! - 3/30/08

We make these quite regularly. They are a big fan favourite with one of my kids and friends. We vary the fruit, but bananas and frozen strawberries are popular and we usually have them on hand.

Thanks for the tip about freezing them into popsicles though. That would be a nice treat for summer.

I make this smoothie, but I use 1/2 cup soy milk and add 1 scoop of protien powder. The fruit can change from day to day depending on what I am hungry for, and you can even throw in some fresh spinach (can't even taste it). I drink this every morning, and it keeps me satisfied all morning. - 6/13/10

You can also use soy or non-dairy versions to make this good. I use soymilk and no yogurt. The banana still makes it thick and creamy. It's great on mornings when you don't feel like eating but need to have breakfast or for a pre-workout snack. - 12/16/08
