Introduction

Great smoothe derived from several recipes Great smoothe derived from several recipes
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    I couldn't quite find a fruit smoothie that was perfect for me until I used a few different recipes to put my own together. This can be done with any frozen fruit, but I prefer blueberries. I choose skim milk over orange juice because I don't like the taste of the juice in the smoothie. Your mileage may vary.

    Ingredients:
    1/2 Cup Skim Milk
    1/2 Cup Yoplait Fat Free Very Vanilla Yogurt
    1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries (Unsweetened)
    1 teaspoon artificial sweetener (I prefer Splenda, or for a different flavor, try the Splenda French Vanilla Coffee Blends)
    1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Directions

Place all ingredients into a blender, either the single serving size or a full size one. I prefer the power of a full-size blender here.

Mix for about 10-20 seconds, depending on how chunky and/or frothy you like your smoothie. Pour into a glass and enjoy.

    Awesome, so good after a long day outside. Both my DH and I loved it. I didn't use the sweetner, instead I used 1/2 banana. More fruit and plenty sweet enough.
    Thanks for a great recipe.

    So many of these recipes call for Splenda which I never use - too artificial. There is sweetner in vanilla yogurt but find a squirt of agave nectar which is all natural sweetner gives a bit of a sweeter taste. - 6/2/10

    Yoplait fat free yogurt contains aspartame and Splenda contains sucralose. Nothing healthy about this recipe. - 2/15/16

    love this! instead if ice though, I use a frozen ripe banana and it gets so thick and doesn't get that watery taste from ice!

    I really liked this smoothie. I tried one with bananas in it but I just do not like bananas. My kids really liked it also. I accidentally remade the recipe trying to change the ingredients for my tracker to add the Greek yogurt. Sorry did not mean to do that. Thanks for the recipe. - 4/21/12

    Drank this after my workout.
    I didn't have frozen berries so I put fresh ones;
    1% milk instead of skim (question of taste);
    Plain yogurt instead of no-fat;
    Added 3 tbsp of flaxseeds for extra fiber.
    Added 3 ice cubes (to replace frozen berries).

    It is SO good. I didn't use sugar or sweetner...I substituted fat free vanilla creamer for part of the milk since I don't have any vanilla extract. I used plain greek yogurt. IT is AWESOME!!! - 8/31/10

    i only used the first 3 ingrediants and found that it didn't need any other sweetening, the blueberries were sweet enough and i think that if you add more sweetening agents it will make the smoothie too sweet. Next time i'm gonna add less milk, was abit to runny and was more of a frappe than smoothy - 6/23/10

    This is lovely although I dont know why you would need the splenda when you have fruit and a sweetened yogurt so left that out. If you add half a FROZEN banana it gets REALLY thick and icey!!! YUMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! - 12/6/08

    Loved the blend of vanilla and blueberry. I added ice to mine and used only 1/3 cup each yogurt and milk, and used dermerara (cane) sugar 1/2 tsp. Even if you don't love blueberries on their own, this blend will really treat! - 7/27/08

    I made it with half a large banana to naturally sweeten. That way it adds another fruit to the daily intake without adding the processed sweetener. Very good! - 9/29/07
