Ingredients
-
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 scallion
18 wonton wrappers
1 egg
Seasoning:
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
1/8 tsp sesame oil
1/16 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp onion powder
dash white pepper
Directions
In a bowl, combine all seasonings. Add ground pork and scallion. You can use immediately, but it's even better if you let marinate 4 hours to overnight.
When ready to prepare, whisk whole egg in a bowl. Put 1 tsp of meat mixture in the middle of wonton wrapper. With a marinade brush, brush edges of wonton wrapper with egg. Seal into triangles. Repeat for remaining wontons.
In a steamer pot, bring water to a boil. Add wontons to steamer portion and heat 5-7 minutes. If you don't have a steamer pot, add directly to boiling water. Do not overcook.
Serve with soy sauce.
