Ingredients

    5 Beets, peeled and diced
    1 head of Cabbage, shredded
    Half an onion, sliced
    1.5 cups chicken broth
    .5 cups diced celery
    1 can tomato paste
    3 cups water
    1 Tblsp salt
    2 tsp Black Pepper
    2 tsp Brown Sugar
    3 Tblsp lemon juice

Directions

Heat chicken broth and water to boiling. Add the beets, cabbage, onions and celery, and reduce to a simmer.
Add tomato paste, salt, brown sugar, and pepper.
Simmer for an hour. Remove from heat and add lemon juice. Serve hot, and enjoy.
