Ingredients

    1/2 cup almond butter
    1/2 cup water
    1/4 cup raw cocoa powder
    1/4 cup ground flax seed
    1 cup chocolate protein powder
    6 packets of stevia
    2 tbsp almond meal

Directions

Combine almond butter with water. Stir until water blends in. Add remaining ingredients except the almond meal. Mix until a cookie dough is formed. Roll out into a rope shape. Cut into 16 equal pieces. Press one side of each snack into almond meal.
Store in airtight container in the fridge.

Makes 16 snacks

    Looks like it wouldn't take long to make either! I've never seen almond butter around these parts but I reckon peanut butter would be a reasonable substitute. Top recipe! - 10/20/10

    Peanut butter would certainly work. Make sure you get natural peanut butter or it won't mix properly with the water. For some reason the "other" nut butters won't work. Only natural ones.

    I was a little disappointed with these, the taste of the stevia was a bit too much for me and the mixture was rather sticky. - 7/21/12

    That's too bad. Sounds like you added too much stevia (different brands taste better than others) and too much water. Different protein powders absorb water differently.
    Mine turned out perfectly which is why I submitted the recipe
