Introduction

This is a very delicious pizza dough. This is a very delicious pizza dough.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
    1 c whole oat flour
    1-2 c warm water
    1 t salt
    1 T olive oil
    1 T instant Dry Yeast

Directions

Place 1 c whole wheat flour and the oat flour in a large bowl add salt and instant dry yeast, add oil and 3/4 cup of water and begin mixing and add additional water until it forms a stiff dough. When a dough is formed knead for 20 + minutes. The kneading process is extra important in pizza dough because it helps it hold together. The dough should be firm but not dry it should form a ball and not be impossible to knead. When you are done kneading the dough let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes. This will give the yeast a chance to become more active. I don't give it more than about 15 minutes because I like a crispy thin crust. With this amount of dough I sometimes will make a full cookie sheet of pizza and a half. If I want a slightly thicker crust I will roll it out on just one sheet.

Bake 500 Degrees
10-18 minutes depending on toppings.
