Introduction

Decided to experiment a little... Mom's original recipe called for all white flour, and shortening. Replaced half the white flour with whole wheat, and put butter in place of the shortening (shortening has trans fats, boo-hiss! LOL!). Decided to experiment a little... I loved these. I even put about l and a half cups of whole wheat flour and they turned out beautifully. They were great with my homemade soup. - 12/29/07
