Twix bars have long been a favourite with chocolate lovers of all ages, and for good reason. Ingredients

1 1/3 cups cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ cup sugar
1/3 cup evaporated skim milk (not sweetened condensed)
1/3 cup butter (no subs), melted
½ cup thick apple butter
1 cup coarsely chopped shortbread cookies
1 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
1 ½ cups ounces thick caramel sundae topping (eg. Smuckers)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350º F.
In a large bowl, combine cake flour, baking powder, sugar, evaporated milk, melted butter, and apple butter
Stir with a spoon to form a doughy mixture, then fold in chopped cookies.
Grease 9” x 13” pan and press 1/2 of the dough into bottom of pan.
Bake for 6 minutes.
Remove pan from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over baked dough.
Pour caramel syrup over the top of the chocolate chips and crumble the remaining uncooked cake dough over the caramel topping.
Bake for 18 minutes more.
Chill thoroughly before cutting and serving.
