Introduction

This is a family recipe that always reminds me of my summers at my grandmother's. It is wonderful served as a sauce for hot dogs, chicken, roast, baked potatoes.... You decide! Enjoy
This is a family recipe that always reminds me of my summers at my grandmother's. It is wonderful served as a sauce for hot dogs, chicken, roast, baked potatoes.... You decide! Enjoy

Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    10 lbs Red Ripe tomatoes (slicing kind)
    4 stalks of celery
    4 large onions
    3 peppers (green and/or red)
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup splenda
    1 Tbsp each of :
    Allspice, Cinnamon, Ground Cloves
    Red Pepper to taste ( I use a 1/2 tsp)
    1/4 cup sea salt
    1 cup distilled white vinegar

Directions

Chop all veggies in a food processor and add to large stock pot.

Add all other ingredients and stir while heating to a boil

Once boiling reduce heat to simmer for two hours.

Can using hot canning method. Pressure cooker not needed.
