Ingredients

8 C cucumbers sliced
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
1 tsp pickling salt
1 C white vinegar
1 C granulated sugar
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp celery seeds
Directions
Place layers of sliced cucumbers and onions in a large container sprinkling salt over each layer.
Cover with ice and let stand for two hours.
Place the sugar and vinegar in saucepan and heat until sugar melted. Add mustard and celery seeds and cool.
Rinse the cucumbers and onions.
Pour the vinegar mixture over the cucs and onions and place in large jar.
Refrigerate for two days then serve (if you can wait that long)
