Introduction

Easy, sweet and healthy snack! (I was looking for an alternative to peanut butter, which I have trouble controlling my portions). Easy, sweet and healthy snack! (I was looking for an alternative to peanut butter, which I have trouble controlling my portions).

Ingredients

    1 Tart apple
    1 Tbs brown sugar
    1/4 tsp cinnamon
    other flavors you may like to add: nutmeg or cloves
    Smart Balance buttery spread (I'm watching my cholesterol)

Directions

Core the apple, leaving the bottom in tact. Mix the brown sugar and other spices together, then pack them into the apple core. Top with 1 tsp of butter spread and place in a microwave dish and cover. Microwave for 3-4 minutes, let stand in microwave for about a minute more. Enjoy! I eat mine in a bowl so I can sop up all the brown sugar syrup with the apple:)
