Ingredients

1/4 cup plain lowfat yogurt
2 tbsp bottled lemon juice
1 tsp crushed or fresh garlic
2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp garam masala (a blend of many spices including coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon and cardamom, is available in the spice aisle of most grocery stores)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 1/2lbs)

Directions
Put the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, garlic, ginger, cumin, garam masala, and cayenne pepper into a large bowl and mix well. Slice the chicken breats into strips 1/2 inch wide and 2 inches long and add them to the bowl. Stir so that the chicken pieces are covered with the yogurt mixture adn then set aside for 10 minutes (or longer if you like)
Preheat the broiler. Make sure the top oven rack is in the highest position, just under the broiling unit. For easy cleanup, line the broiling pan with aluminum foil. Place the broiling pan rack on top of the foil then set aside.
When the chicken is done marinating, thread the pieces ontion skewers, leaving at least 1/4 inch of space between each pieceso the chiecken will cook more quickly. Discard the leftover marinade. When the broiler is read, cook the chicken about 4 minutes per side, or until it is firm and white. Test a piece by cutting it in half to make sure the middle is white, not pink. Serve immediately on skewers.
*Note: you can also make this recipe without skewers, but they are so much fun! :)
