Ingredients

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1 tbs shortening
    1 pint strawberries
1 cup heavy or whipping cream
    1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon of knox unflavored gelatin
Foil Cups sprayed lightly with PAM or other cooking spray.

Tips

Freeze the whipping cream bowl and whisk before use, and refrigerate serving plate to keep chocolate cups from melting in the room temperature air. Prep time includes at least 30 mins of recommended refrigeration time (usually takes less than 1.5 hrs)

Directions

1. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave (follow melting instructions on chocolate chip bag)
2. Lift foil cups and tilt while drizzling chocolate to coat inside of cups. Refrigerate until firm (at least 30 minutes). Refrigerating in muffin tins helps to keep the shape of the cup.
3. Wash and cut out the middle the strawberries while the cups are cooling. Slice strawberries.
4. With cold hands, remove 1 cup at a time from the refridgerator and remove the foil cup. Put the chocolate cup back onto a refrigerated plate and start the next cup.
5. Whip the cream with the gelatin and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. with a rubber spatula, gently fold the strawberries into the chocolate cups.
6. Enjoy!
