Ingredients

    2 cups frozen blackeyed peas
    1/2 c chopped onion
    1/4 c chopped green bell pepper
    2 tsp chopped garlic
    2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    1 1/2 c rice
    4 c water/1.4 tsp Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning
    1 tsp crushed red pepper

Directions

In large skillet over medium hit add oil. When oil is hot
add onions, green pepper and garlic until translucent. Add frozen peas and 3 cups of water, bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat to let simmer for 40 minutes. Add rice and last ingredients; add remainder of water bring to a boil, cover and let simmer until all water is absorbed.
