Ingredients

    1 tsp olive oil
    2 Johnsonville Apple Chicken Sausage links
    1 cup chopped bell peppers (I like to use a variety of colors in one dish for added color)
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup broccoli
    1 cup apple (about one apple)
    1 tbsp minced garlic
    1 tsp thyme
    1/4 tsp cayenne
    1/4 tsp salt
    3/4 cup chicken broth, 3/4 cup water
    3/4 cup rice

    **I have done a variety of different things with this recipe, added different veggies and such or doubled it to make the whole pack of links, but this is what I used most recently and how I calculated the nutrition.

Tips

GREAT to-go meal for the next few days:)


Directions

Cook rice in chicken broth/water combo

Heat olive oil in skillet, add chicken links and cook for about 5 min
Add chopped veggies/fruit/garlic, cook another 5 min stir
Stir in thyme, cayenne, salt. Take off burner
Stir in cooked rice

Serving Size: Makes 4 servings, about 1 and 1/3 cup each
