Ingredients

    1 bag baby carrots cut in half
    2/3 celery stalks
    1 medium onion
    2/3 cloves garlic
    2 cups lentils
    thyme
    2/3 bay leaves
    salt and pepper
    8 cups chicken broth
    3 or 4 slices of canadian bacon chopped

Tips

If you like soup thicker you can blend some of the lentils and add them back to soup.


Directions

add all ingredients to slow cookers as listed and cook on for 5/6 hours

add chopped canadian bacon for last 30 minutes for added smokey flavor
