This really satisfied my sweet tooth. The family liked it but of course said it's good for not being real cake. Typical comment of us all. It is hard to change. But change we will. I substituted splenda for the sugar. Lowering the calories to 100 per very nice piece of cake. - 2/11/08

I looked up the original recipe on the site listed and it calls for baking it in a bundt pan at 325 for the 50-55 minutes so one may want to bake it for a little less time in a flat pan and then test for doneness. I overcooked mine the first time I made it. - 5/26/10

I have made this recipe twice using whole wheat flour instead of white flour. I really like it. It was a hit at work also. No icing needed. It was a bit dense but delicious. I will make this cake at least once a month or so. I cooked it at 350 degrees F until toothpick came out clean. - 7/14/18

This was good - but it tastes more like a bread than a cake. - 2/24/08
