Introduction

French Vanilla Cake with mixed berries & applesauce. French Vanilla Cake with mixed berries & applesauce.
Number of Servings: 24

Ingredients

    1 Box Betty Crocker French Vanilla cake mix. (can use super moist or regular)

    1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (Giant Eagle or Motts)

    3 whole large eggs

    1 cup (frozen) berry melody mix (Giant Eagle)-thaw once measured then blend in mixture.

Tips

Option: to top add a dab of fat free whip cream


Directions

Prepare box mix by adding water, eggs then use the applesauce instead of oil (same amount) -blend wet then add your dry box mix.

Once blended cake 1 cup frozen berries, defrost in microwave. Once thawed that you can smash them a bit (but not hot) smash them a little (so some are smashed but some are chunky) & mix them into your mixture with beaters until blended well.

put liners in cupcakes pans. Take 1/4 cup of mixture into each cupcake liner.

Bake as directed on box.

Let cool.
