Introduction
One of my favorite recipes for salmon. The sweetness of the brown sugar decreases the strong salmon flavor. Perfect for someone who dislikes salmon but wants to add it to their diet. Ingredients
-
2 - 3 oz filets of salmon
1 Tbsp brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Tips
*My husband and I cook without using salt so this recipe's sodium content will be lower than if you were to use salt. The fish is delicious without it.
Directions
Divide the brown sugar between the two filets, covering all sides.
Rub the sugar into the filets.
Sprinkle the filets with salt and pepper to taste.*
Allow the filets to rest for 15 minutes so that the sugar can melt onto the salmon.
Preheat a non-stick skillet over low heat. You can
use a non-stick spray if you need to.
Gently sear the fillets. Becareful to let the sugar carmalize and not burn. The fillets will turn a lovely golden brown when done. It will only take a couple of minutes on each side
