Ingredients

    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    Pinch of salt
    3 large egg whites
    1/8 teaspoon cream of tarter
    2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions

1. Prehet oven to 300 F. Line 2 baking sheets with foil or parchment paper, spray with cooking oil.
2. Sift 1/4 cup sugar, cocoa and salt into small bowl. Beat ( mixer works best ) egg whites and cream of tartar in large bowl until soft peaks begin to form. Add remainin 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 tablespoon at a time and beat until medium-firm peaks form. Add cocoa mixture 1 tablespoon at a time and beat until meringue is stiff and glossy.
3. Drop meringue onto prepared baking sheets by rounded teaspoonfuls, spacing 1 inch apart. For chewy soft cookies, bake meringues 25 minutes. For drier, crisper cookies, bake meringues 40 minutes. ool cookies on baking sheets. Sift powdered sugar over cookies.

    Amazing! I actually got 44 out of the recipe. I'm glad that they're only 15 calories each because I think I've already eaten 5 and they just came out of the oven. Next time I'm going to make a triple batch because I doubt these will last very long. - 9/23/11

    OMG! I love these cookies. I really love the low calorie count, because i know that I can't eat just one. I seperated and saved the egg yolks for the chocolate cream pie i am making next. The egg whites beat up well and adding the other ingredients were a no brainer. Best cookie recipe. - 10/15/11
