1 21-ounce can cherry, apple or peach pie filling
1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
4 rectangles of plain graham crackers
1/4 cup of butter
1/2 cup of rolled oats
1/4 cup of packed brown sugar
Vanilla ice cream, if you want
Directions
1.) Turn on oven to 375 degrees. Place the pie filling and the almon extract in the ungreased baking dish. Stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Spread mixture evenly into the dish.
2.) Put the graham crackers in a plastic bag. Seal or tie the plastic bag closed and use a rolling pin to crsh the crackers finely. (You should have about 2/3 cup of crumbs.) Put the crumbs in the mixing bowl. Save until step 4.
3.) Put the butter into a saucepan on a medium heat burner. Cook until butter is melted. Turn the burner off and remove the pan from the burner.
4.) Put the melted butter, oats and brown sugar in the bowl with the cracker crumbs. Stir mixture with a fork until combined. Put the crumb mixture over the pie filling in the dish.
5.) Place the dish in the oven for 20 minutes, or until crumbs are lightly browned. Let it cool for about 30 minutes on a cooling rack. Serve warm with ice cream, if you want.
