Ingredients

    2 cups unbleached flour
    3 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 cup butter
    3/4 cup milk

Tips

You can cut out smaller diameter biscuits for lower calories. But keeping the original thickness of the dough when you roll it out allows the biscuits to rise higher when bake. Adjust cooking time accordingly.

Directions

Sift the dry ingredients. Cut in the butter (soft at room temperature). Mix in milk with fork. Lightly knead together the dough (don't overmix). Roll or press out dough, about one-inch thick. Cut out biscuits to approximately 2-inch diameter. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 450-degree oven for 10-15 minutes (depending on the heat of your oven).

Serving Size: Makes 7 2-inch biscuits.
