Introduction

Very easy Low Calorie, Low Sodium, Cabbage soup with fresh garden tomatoes and a variety of packaged frozen vegetables and Brown Rice cooked in the crock pot. Ingredients

    4 cups Chicken Broth
    1 Pkg Season's Choice Prince Edward Medley (3-3/4 cup)
    1 Pkg Kroger frozen Mixed Vegetable (3-2/3 cup)
    4 cups Tap Water
    2 lbs fresh tomatoes
    1 medium head of Cabbage
    1-1/2 cup Brown Rice (uncooked)

Tips

This recipe does not use any canned vegetables to keep sodium content at a minimum.


Directions

Chop cabbage into bite size pieces. Put all ingredients except the brown rice into 6 quart crock pot and cook for 4 hours on high heat. Add the brown rice and cook for an additional 2 hours on high heat.
