Ingredients

1 can Coconut Milk or 400ml home made
4 T coconut powder
4-5 trifala
1 Star annise
1 t cumin seeds
1 small onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 T Coriander Powder
4 T Coriander Leaves
1/2 t garam masala
2 t chilli powder or as per hotness required
1 t turmeric powder
2 dry red chillies
2 T tamarind juice
3 T Oil
salt as required
water as per the thickness of the curry required
Tips
Add your choice of fish/prawns/ lobsters or veg to this curry at the end for one boil or until cooked
Directions
In a mixer, mix onion, garlic, chilli powder, cumin powder, garam masala, coconut powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and salt
Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel, add cumin seeds, triffala, star annise and red chillies. Taking care this doesn't get burnt, add the coconut milk and then the mixer contents.
Boil on medium heat for 20 mins then stir in the fish or veg or prawns until cooked. Add water as required. Finally stir in the tamarind juice. Taking care not to over boil after adding tamarind juice as the curry can break.
Serving Size: Makes 8 medium bowls servings
