Introduction
So fast and easy and healthy. So fast and easy and healthy.Number of Servings: 2
Ingredients
-
1 cup of frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana broken in 3-4 pieces
2 TB orange juice
2 packets of Stevia
Directions
I freeze fresh bananas just as they are going south. They are at their sweetest at this point, but may not look palatable on the outside. Peel them and place in a bag. You can add a wee bit of lemon juice and rub it around. Freeze at least overnight until firm. Then break them apart. You can do this right in the bag without touching them. Break them into 3-4 pieces each.
You can wash and freeze fresh strawberries too, that might not make it another day. Or, you can buy frozen strawberries.
In the Vitamix Add 1 cup of frozen strawberries and 3-4 pieces of broken up banana ( about one banana ). Add 2 TB of orange or apple juice and stevia packets.
Take off the small center lid and use the tamper. Start at low on 1 and quickly increase speed to 10 and then raise to high. Use the tamper to push the frozen fruit into the blade. This takes 30-45 seconds. When the mixture is smooth and firm, stop processing. If you over process, it can start to melt. So check after 30 seconds, then 45.
Dish out and eat. Delicious. Of course you can use other fruits.
