Introduction

You'll never miss the fat from the traditional dish! I added a blend of finely diced jalapeno, hot banana and habanero peppers to kick up the heat factor and served it with a side of Steamfresh® Chef's Favorites - Lightly Sauced Roasted Red Potatoes with Oven Roasted Garlic Butter Sauce. Ingredients

13 oz Hillshire Farm Turkey Smoked Sausage
1 cup Green Bell Pepper, roughly chopped
1 cup Red Bell Pepper, roughly chopped
1 cup Red Onion, roughly chopped
    1 tbsp Minced Garlic
    1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

Slice sausage diagonally into 1" pieces. Lightly coat non-stick pan with cooking spray. Add sausage and cook on medium high, stirring occasionally, until sausage begins to brown. Meanwhile, chopped peppers and onions into 1" pieces. Add peppers to pan, lightly coat with cooking spray, stir and cook about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. If pan looks like it's getting dry, spray lightly once again. Stir to combine, reduce heat to medium and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, about 5-10 minutes or until vegetables are cooked to your taste.
