Tips
Lessen the effect of the canned sodium by rinsing the beans before cooking, but think about adding some water to the saucepan to make up for the liquids rinsed off. Start with 1/2 cup of water and increase gradually. You can always add water, but you cannot (easily and without sacrificing flavor) take it away.
