Introduction
This is how I make french toast... this is the batter only. I said it serves 4, but it makes 4 large whole grain bread slices, or 6 sandwich sized white bread. Depending on the bread you use, it is easily enjoyable without butter or syrup! This is how I make french toast... this is the batter only. Ingredients
-
2 extra large eggs
1/3 cup 2% milk
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions
Whip all listed ingredients together, while heating up a non-stick pan. Pour them, a little at a time, onto a small salad plate, in order to dip the bread while flat. Coat each side of the bread, and fry in the pan. Makes up to 6 sandwich sized slices of white bread, or 3-4 slices of the larger, whole grain breads. Most often, no butter or syrup is needed.
* note - because this all depends on which bread you use, the calculations are only for the batter... you have to track your bread separately.
I had mine this morning with a sunny-side up egg on the side. Yum!
