Ingredients

    180 gram(s) Mahatma Extra Long Grain Enriched White Rice, 45g/.25 cup raw uncooked, .75 cup cooked
    1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    10.6 tbsp Onion (raw), chopped
    2 tsp Salt
    .25 tsp Pepper, black
    .25 tsp Garlic powder
    16 oz Lean Ground Beef 93% Fat Free (4 oz / 112g) (by FLORIDALARK)
    2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    4 cup Tomato Sauce
    2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    12 tsp packed Brown Sugar
    12 tsp Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce
    2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw

Tips

Recipe can be halved.


Directions

In a bowl, combine rice, 1 cup of water, eggs, onion, salt, pepper, & garlic powder. Add beef and mix well. Shape into 1 1/2 in. balls (use a cookie scoop). Heat oil in a large skillet, brown meatballs in batches. Put browned meatballs in a large pan. Combine tomato sauce, 2 cups of water, brown sugar and worcestershire sauce in a large bowl; whisk together. Pour sauce over meatballs, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.

Serving Size: 8 servings (6 meatballs)
