    Into 3 cups of hot cooked rice add the following, cover and let stand for 5 minutes to heat through.

    The calories on the Nutritional Panel are for 3 cups of Brown RIce only. The additional cals etc are listed next to each variety.


Add 3 Tblspn bottled bacon bits, 1/2 cup diced tomato and 1 cup finely chopped lettuce.
Add to nutritional info - 14 cal, .7g fat, 42.3 mg sod, 1.6g carb, .3g fib per serve

Add 3 tsp grated lemon peel, 3 Tblspn lemon juice, 2 tsp chopped dill or parsley and a grind or two of black pepper.

Add 2 Tblspn canned jalapenos, 1/2 cup corn kernals, 1/2 cup sliced scallions (green onions) and 2 Tblspn fat free sour cream

    I always have plain rice with fish, so I tried the lemon pepper rice and it was great! I'm going to try the peas and cheese one as well.

    If you'd care to read above it is for brown rice which is a good carb with fibre etc. Removing all complex carbs from your diet is NOT healthy!!!
