Introduction

This delicious, healthy snack is a great mid-afternoon pick-me-up or a refreshing dessert. This delicious, healthy snack is a great mid-afternoon pick-me-up or a refreshing dessert.

Ingredients

    2 small bananas (ripe)
    1/4 cup fat free vanilla yogurt
    1/4 cup Kashi cereal (slightly crushed)
    1 small chocolate bar (or a couple of chocolate chips)

Directions

Slice the ripe bananas length-wise. Chop us the chocolate bar (or chocolate chips) and sprinkle on one side of each banana. Then press sides together. Roll the banana in the yogurt (or "frost" it using a knife) and roll in the crushed cereal. Wrap the banana in a piece of waxed paper and freeze. Enjoy!

Makes two large servings.

NOTES: Sometimes I cut the bananas in half again to make four small servings. You can omit the chocolate or substitute something else such as nuts. I like Kashi cereal, but you can use another kind or even simply rolled oats.
