Ingredients

Water, tap, 1.5 cup
Brown Sugar, 1.5 cup, packed
Butter, salted, .5 stick (melted)
flour, 1.5 cup + 2 Tablespoons
Salt, .5 tsp
Cinnamon, ground, 1.25 tsp
Nutmeg, ground, .75 tsp
Apples, fresh, 14 medium or 2.5 pounds - peeled, cored and cut into wedges
*Quaker Oatmeal, 1.5 cup
Butter, salted, 1 stick - room temp cut into small pieces
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl combine the water, 3/4 c brown sugar, melted butter, 2 Tablespoons flour, salt, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, whisk until smooth.
place apples in a 9x12 baking dish and pour liquid sugar mixture over the apples. Mix well. In a mixing bowl combine the remaining 3/4 c brown sugar, remaining 1/4 t cinnamon, remaining 1/4 t nutmeg, 1 1/2 cups flour, oatmeal and butter. Using your fingers, work thje mixture together until it resembles a course like mixture. Sprinkle the oatmeal topping over the topof the apple mixture. Bake for 1 hour, or until the apples are tender the the topping is golden. Yield 10 - 12 servings.
