Introduction

Ingredients

    2 tablespoon butter
    2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    1.5 teaspoon minced garlic
    1 1/4 c. white wine or Chardonnay
    1/4 c. clam juice
    2 (3.55 oz) foil-packs of Chicken of the Sea whole baby clams
    2 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
    4 oz. (dry) Ronzoni Healthy Harvest whole wheat linguine

Directions

In skillet, melt butter in olive oil; saute garlic for 1 min. Add wine and clam juice. Cookon low heat for 3 min. Add clams and parsley, salt and pepper to taste if needed. Pour over cooked pasta noodles and top with shaved Asiago cheese (not included in nutritional info). Makes 2 entree servings or 4 side servings.

    I think I have had a better white wine clam sauce. I might have messed it up by throwing in half a pound of shrimp. This might have made the sauce sort of bitter. Also, previous versions might had more butter. My husband LOVED it. I'll try it again w/out shrimp. - 3/15/09
