    1 Small Onion
    5 cloves garlic, minced
    2 1/2 cube cooked or canned chickpeas (garbanoza)
    3/4 cup tahini
    1 1/2 tbsp lite soy sauce
    1/4 cup water & 1/4 cup cider vinegar OR
    1/2 cup lemon juice
    1/4 cup fresh parsely, chopped OPTIONAL
    1 tsp cumin
    1/4 tsp cayenne pepper - OPTIONAL
    1 tsp salt


In a small saucepan, saute onions and garlic in a splash of oil on medium heat until onions are translucent. In a blender or food processor, blend sauteed onions, chickpeas, tahini, soy sauce, lemon juice, parsley, cumin, cayenne pepper & salt until you reach the desired consistency.

Makes 2 cups. Serving Size 2 tbsp
