These are soft, tasty, scones. Not the rocks you buy at the store. These are soft, tasty, scones. Not the rocks you buy at the store.
Number of Servings: 20


    2 cups all purpose flour
    4 t. baking powder
    2/4 t. salt
    1/4 cup sugar
    6 T. Butter
    3/4 c. milk
    1 large egg
    1 cup dried cranberries.


mix flour, baking powder, salt, & sugar in one bowl. Add cranberries.

melt butter, let cool. add egg and whisk until emulsified. Add milk. Whisk until the milk is completely blended.

Add wet to dry ingredients. Mix until just blended. Dont over beat.

Using a No. 40 scoop, portion the batter into 20 scones on parchment.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom and barely brown on the high spots on the top.

  • Yummy! I think they were a either a bit too buttery for me, or maybe I put a bit too much salt. Very light feeling, I used raisins and walnuts in mine! - 7/17/08

  • These are delicious, they are very light. Reminded me of Harry and David's scones. I used fresh fruit. I will definitely add these to my favorites! - 6/10/08

  • These were yummy! I baked them in my scone pan and got 2 pans (16 scones). I might try them with dried mixed berries next time. - 11/8/07
