Ingredients

For meatballs:
1 lb. ground turkey meat
1 cup bread crumbs
1 packet of dry onion soup mix
1 egg
For sauce:
2 cans whole tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped onions
3 chopped garlic gloves
1 tbsp olive oil
pinch of salt, pepper, oregano, and basi to taste
Pasta:
4 cups of whole wheat spaghetti
Directions
Makes 4 1-cup servings (with 2 meatballs)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl...combine turkey meat, egg, bread crumbs and packet of onion soup mix. Form 8 meatballs. Bake in a pan or cookie sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
Place meatballs at least one inch apart and bake for 45 minutes or until done.
In another bowl, empty the two cans of canned whole tomatoes and use your hands to break up the tomatoes. In a large sauce pan, brown the chopped garlic cloves and chopped onions until soft..add tomatoes with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil to taste. Simmer on a medium to low heat stirring occasionally.
When meatballs are done, add them to sauce mixture and continue to simmer for anther 10 minutes. Turn off.
In another pot, boil water and add whole wheat pasta, stirring occasionally until cooked. Drain.
Serve on plates with spaghetti sauce on top with two meatballs.
