Ingredients
-
1/4 cup Fat Free Cream Cheese
4 TBSP light brown sugar, divided
2/3 cup coarsely chopped fresh strawberries
1 (8 count) package refrigerated crescent rolls (fat free or lowest calorie intake)
2 TBSP unsalted butter, melted.
Directions
*If you want to lower the calorie intake when you use the fat free - low fat ingredients, just use less cream cheese and more strawberries for the filling. There is already a LOT of filling for these!
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Blend the cream cheese with 2 TBSP of the brown sugar in a bowl, fold in the strawberries.
Unfold the crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles, smoothing the edges together along the dotted lines. Divide the strawberry mixture among the 4 pieces at one side of the rectangle, then fold over, crimp edges with fingers then a fork. Bake the rolls for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown, brush the cooked empanadas with melted butter, and dust with the remaining brown sugar before serving.
Enjoy!!!
