Great low fat treat that sure doesn't taste low fat!

Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups flour
    3/4cup sugar
    2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    2 egg whites
    1/4 cup applesauce
    1/2 cup skim milk
    TOPPING
    1/3 cup Brown Sugar
    1/4 cup sugar
    2 tsp cinnamon

Directions

Combine Flour, sugar, baking powder and mix well. In a seperate bowl beat egg whites until foamy. Add applesauce, and milk. Add dry ingredients. Pour into a 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with topping. Makes 9 squares. GREAT with a GOOD CUP OF COFFEE

    Baked at 350 for 25 minutes. Used 1 c AP flour and 1/2 C white whole wheat. Next time I'l lay 1/2 batter, 1/2 topping mixture And repeat. - 4/8/12

    So I used 350 Fahrenheit for about 30 mins and it came out pretty good. Definately needs a cup of tea or coffee with it or a big glass of milk. - 10/16/09

    Very Good
    I made this with oil since I ran out of applesauce. It was great. I might cut down the amount of sugar used for the topping next time and add some nuts. - 7/13/09
