Introduction
This is one of the best chili recipes I have had. I didn't add the hot peppers, but if you can handle them...ADD 'EM IN! This is one of the best chili recipes I have had. I didn't add the hot peppers, but if you can handle them...ADD 'EM IN!Number of Servings: 10
Ingredients
-
Pam Olive Oil Spray
1.3 lbs. Lean Ground Turkey
1/4 cup A1 Sauce, or any steak sauce like it
2 (14.5oz) Diced Tomatoes
8oz. Low-Sodium Tomato Sauce
1/4 cup Chili Powder
3 tsp. Splenda Brown Sugar Blend
1 3/4 cup Low-Sodium Dark Red Kidney Beans
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
MIX the ground turkey and A1 sauce until slightly combined.
HEAT sauce pan until warm, and spray with olive oil spray. Brown turkey until pink is gone, about 4-6 minutes.
ADD diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, brown sugar blend, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
COVER mixture and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 2 hours.
ADD kidney beans, and stir. Continue to heat until beans are warmed. About 2-3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
SERVE.
Each serving is 3/4 cups. You can add what you like to spice it up a bit. I can't have to much spice in what I eat, so I left out the hot peppers. You can also top with some low-fat cheese to make it even better!
